The function of the Park Maintenance and Beautification Division is to maintain all city-owned grounds of concern to the Parks and Recreation Department. The vast responsibility of this division includes mowing, edging and trimming grass at all parks and athletic facilities, maintenance, installation and replacement of all landscape plants, flowers, and trees at these facilities and in the downtown core area, cultivation, fertilization, and pest control in all areas, renovation to grounds and drainage corrections as needed at all facilities within the Parks and Recreation Department. This division also provides assistance to all other city departments concerning grounds maintenance and is involved in the coordination of all special events in the park system and downtown special events.
