Directions: From 29th Avenue, turn West on 36th Street, drive two blocks, turn left on 32nd Avenue. Look for the signs.


This recreation center is open to adults 21 years and older. It is equipped with conference rooms, classrooms and a dining area to seat 75 people comfortably. There is a fully equipped kitchen, billiard room, snooker room, exercise room and lending library. The ceramic studio is led by Carole Ewing; payment is on a per piece basis. The primary use of the center is for instruction programs and workshops.

Seniors over the age of 55 have first choice of the classes. Class size is limited. You are enrolled in the class of choice only when payment is made. Supplies are furnished by the participant.

The Frank Cochran Center is a 16,184 square foot multi-purpose
building used primarily for rentals and special events.
Rental Fee: $500.00 per day
The building contains a concession area and some kitchen facilities.

Tiny Tumblers (ages 3-5)

This is a class for young beginners that will focus on basic tumbling, proper positioning and motor skills necessary for gymnastics. -
Beginner Gymnasics (ages 6-12)

Basic skills in gymnastics are taught. Equipment used includes the balance beam, bars, and trampoline.

Dance for the Young (ages 3-5)

This class combines basic tumbling and dance aids in the development of balance, corrdination and rhythmic skills.

This class gives aspiring cheerleaders an introduction to basic routines and choreographed dance moves and helps to develop balance, coordination, and rhythmic skills.

The center has many molds to choose from.

After the molds are poured they
sit for 24 hours to dry.

When the molds are dry they are put
into the kiln to be fired.

Molds are now ready to be painted.

Painting the ceramics is what these ladies do best.
These are only a few of the great ceramics that have been finished in the Ceramic Studio.
