Meridian Fire Department Press Release, July 26, 2007

Effective July 26, 2007, the City of Meridian’s burn ban will be lifted.

New burn permits may now be issued. Those who held burn permits that went out of date during the burn ban, can have your permit updated by contacting the Meridian Fire Department’s Bureau of Fire Prevention at (601) 485-1822 or (601) 485-1824 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Remember that all burning inside the city must be permitted by the Fire Department and supervised at all times by the permit holder.
