A tree has fallen on the dam of the lower lake at Bonita Lakes and water is seeping out. The Public Works director and engineers are assessing the situation and believe they will have to lower the water level on the lake in order to fix the problem. The level should not have to be as low as it was when major dam repairs were made earlier.

Officials are still studying the situation to determine what specific corrective action needs to be taken, so details are sketchy.
