Because of necessary preparations for the big Rock in the Park on Labor Day at Bonita Lakes, public access will be limited during the time leading up to the concert.

Beginning on Saturday night, September 1 at 10 p.m., when the park normally closes, until Monday, September 3 at 3 p.m., when the gates open for the concert, no vehicular traffic will be allowed beyond the dam.  This means vehicles may still move in and out of the area around the lower lake, but they will not be able to cross the dam.  Vehicles will be barred until Tuesday morning following the concert.  Crews will be busy setting up numerous pieces of equipment needed for the concert, then will have to break down equipment after the concert. Walkers, joggers and bicyclists will still be able to travel freely inside the park.

On Labor Day, the day of the concert, the park will be closed completely to the public until the gates open at 3 p.m.
