Meridian/Lauderdale County Public Library
The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library, located in the downtown region of the Queen City, has been serving the residents of east-central Mississippi since 1913. The library collection consists of over 140,000 books, audio, and visual resources, and maintains one of the state's best genealogy collections. The library's collection can be accessed through a new state-of-the-art Gaylord Galaxy automation system which also includes dial-in and World Wide Web (Internet) capabilities. A variety of programming opportunities are available throughout the year for adults and children, including two excellent summer reading programs. Membership information for the Friends of the Library is available from the library.
