Confined Space Rescue (MSFA Field Delivery)

Basic Swat

May 7 – 11, 2012

Time: Class begins at 8 a.m. each morning

Cost: $375

Emergency Response to Passenger Rail Incidents

October 16 – 18, 2012

Time: 8:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $125.00 (course fee waived if grant funding is available)

Students should be in sound physical condition. Students are responsible for the following PPE items: Steel-toed boots, rescue helmet, eye protection, flashlight, gloves, long pants, and long-sleeve shirt

Overland Search & Rescue

October 23 – 25, 2012 & November 6 – 8, 2012

Time: 8:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $0

Course covers tracking, orienteering, and map reading among other topics. Overall participants will gain a basic knowledge in what will be required in the event a person is missing in a rural environment. This class requires a lot of walking in different terrains – participants should be physically capable and prepared to walk in hilly terrains.

Emergency Response to Passenger Rail Incidents Level 2

November 6-8, 2012

Time: 8:30 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. Monday – Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. till 11:00 p.m. Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. till noon Friday

Cost: $200.00, may be waived if grant funding is approved

Dorm space for up to 40 students is available on site.

Dorm fees are $20 per night per student.

Dorms are filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
