Finance
and Records is the hub of the city's operation, providing a variety
of services related to both internal and external information processing.
Parks & Recreation operates two swimming pools (including one Olympic-sized pool used for state swimming meets), five parks, a senior citizens center, an arts and crafts center, a ceramics studio, two four-field softball complexes, 11 baseball fields, 12 soccer fields, 10 tennis courts and five school gymnasiums.
Police is a progressive law enforcement agency staffed by 115 full-time sworn officers and 32 civilians. In addition to patrol operations, criminal investigations and special operations, the department also maintains an active training division and municipal jail.
Fire is made up of 117 personnel in four (4) divisions: Administration, Fire Prevention, Suppression, and Training.
Public Works has a strong impact on the quality of life offered to residents by maintaining the infrastructure of the city, which includes everything from water to streets to stop signs.
Homeland Security is dedicated to the mission of ensuring safety for our residents, providing sophisticated training for local and area agencies and serving as the lead team for disasters and other emergency response situations.
