With the adoption and enforcement of the 2006 International Codes (building, mechanical, plumbing and gas codes) and the 2008 National Electrical Code, the Inspection Division has been instrumental in the lowering of Meridian resident's insurance rates as set by the Mississippi State Rating Bureau.
