The City of Meridian is once again offering residents the opportunity to get rid items that cannot be disposed of in ordinary household garbage

The City of Meridian is once again offering residents the opportunity to get rid items that cannot be disposed of in ordinary household garbage. Household Hazardous Waste Day on April 21, 2007 will be an ideal time to do some spring cleaning in the house, garage and workshop.

Hazardous items will be accepted from 8 a.m. until noon at the Public Works Complex located at 311 27th Avenue South. Items that will be accepted are:

aerosol cans

paint thinners

drain opener

antifreeze

used oil

tires

yard and garden pesticides

paints

corrosives

solvents

batteries

oil filters
