SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING, MONDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2009 AT 9:00 A.M.

Meeting called to order by Council President Smith.

Present: Thomas, Henson, Palmer, Smith.

Absent: Perry.

Discussion was held regarding the closing of the portions of 22^nd Avenue adjacent to the 22^nd Avenue bridge. City Attorney Ready advised that closing a street requires a public hearing and requires the city to pay property owners for loss of ingress or egress. Business owners expressed their view on the closing of these sections of 22^nd Avenue. After discussion, no action was taken to close those portions of 22^nd Avenue adjacent to the 22^nd Avenue bridge.

There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, the meeting was adjourned. Sine die.
